Helicopter evacuation with the LEZARD helivac lanyard
During a rescue, in the drop-off and recovery phase, there is a period where the rescuer is attached to the helicopter and the cliff at the same
time; this situation is especially critical when there is turbulence. The LEZARD lanyard helps secure this phase: in case the helicopter moves away
involuntarily, the LEZARD releases the adjustable lanyard. The adjustable lanyard remains attached to the cliff, and the rescuer and/or victim stay
attached to the helicopter.
