enough funds to help unite Sandy with her
new family. The requirement was a minimum
of $3,000-3,500. The fundraising continued for
around two months and finally, enough funds
were collected.
After much unforeseen delay, Sandy finally
began her journey to Alaska. The entire jour-
ney took 4-5 days in total. Cheryl travelled all
the way to Chicago with Sandy as ‘luggage’
as this was the affordable option. In Chicago,
Sandy’s forever mum, Gena, received Sandy
and Cheryl. After a mandatory stay over in
Chicago, Sandy then continued her journey to
Alaska with Gena and is now finally happy in
her new home, new life and
forever parents.
