P E T S enough funds to help unite Sandy with her new family. The requirement was a minimum of $3,000-3,500. The fundraising continued for around two months and finally, enough funds were collected. After much unforeseen delay, Sandy finally began her journey to Alaska. The entire jour- ney took 4-5 days in total. Cheryl travelled all the way to Chicago with Sandy as ‘luggage’ as this was the affordable option. In Chicago, Sandy’s forever mum, Gena, received Sandy and Cheryl. After a mandatory stay over in Chicago, Sandy then continued her journey to Alaska with Gena and is now finally happy in her new home, new life and forever parents.
