Meet some of our favourite‘ Pet Pals’
Lila
Breed: Mixed breed Age: 7 years old Sex: Female Hooman: Lise du Toit
Lila is a small, tan rescue with a big personality. She loves going for walkies just as much as she loves curling up for a nap, and her caring, affectionate nature has made her a much-loved companion.
Last year, Lila was diagnosed with IVDD( intervertebral disc disease), but thanks to plenty of physiotherapy, she’ s back on her feet and walking again. Adopted from GRACE Animal Sanctuary in 2021, she’ s a little fighter with a big, big heart.
Guru
Breed: Domestic Long Hair Age: +-15 years old Sex: Male Hooman: Milou
Guru is half-gentleman, half-dog trapped inside the body of a giant orange cat. He never misses the bedtime routine – the moment I start brushing my teeth, Guru races down the passage, leaps onto the bed and patiently waits for lights out. Next to behaving as though he’ s permanently starving, Guru’ s greatest talent is winning hearts. He stands on his back legs in the kitchen, begging for treats with an irresistible face, wags his tail like a dog, comes running when called, and faithfully waits beneath the lavender bush every day until his owner comes home. Loyal, food-obsessed and endlessly charming, he’ s every bit the“ cat-dog” everyone says he is.
