With his very own Instagram page(@ munichnefdt), Munich radiates big star energy.“ He once made the front page of the Weekend Argus, looking all flowery for World Garden Day. I think that was definitely his biggest diva moment!” Tanya recalls.
Meeting Munich
It all began when Tanya heard that radio host Carl Wastie’ s gorgeous Boston Terriers had puppies.“ I immediately messaged him to ask if I could come by and visit,” she recalls. The litter had been named after the days of the week, and Tanya was promised Friday. But fate had other plans.“ When I arrived, Thursday ran straight over to me, jumped up, and covered my face in kisses.”
It was love at first sight.“ I fell backwards on the floor, laughing out loud while embracing all his kisses. Everyone in the room knew instantly – this was my boy!” And so, Munich Thursday Nefdt was born.
From that moment, Tanya and Munich have been inseparable. They eat out together, walk together, travel together, and even hit the gym side by side.
“ He follows me from machine to machine like a little cheerleader,” Tanya smiles.“ Everyone at the gym knows him and is careful around him. He’ s more supportive than chaotic … thankfully!”

Luckily, Munich’ s dad, Bjorn, adores him just as much.“ Bjorn speaks to Munich in German, so – fun fact, Munich understands German! They go kitesurfing and spend loads of time at the beach together during the day.”
When Tanya’ s workday ends, it’ s time for their favourite ritual: walkies. You’ ll often spot the pair in De Waal Park.“ He goes crazy running through the park, often chasing his squirrel friends and having a swim in the local fountain.”
Of course, Munich is showered with kisses, hugs, and plenty of treats.“ Cooked chicken breasts are his absolute favourite,” Tanya admits with a smile.
Birthday madness
“ All his birthdays are such a treat because I love celebrating him,” Tanya beams.
From his very first birthday to his most recent one this February, Munich has been spoiled year after year. Celebrations often involve a fancy restaurant outing, or even a weekend getaway to his favourite spot in Langebaan.“ The hotel there loves having him stay over,” Tanya says.
This year, the festivities took them to an Italian restaurant.“ He had www. petpals. co. za 11
