Story Behind a Sigh

It is said that the famous author and poet, José Gálvez baptized this creole dessert. His wife, a cook by the name of Amparo Ayarez had prepared this dessert for him. He said that the flavor was “as soft and as sweet as a woman’s sigh”, in this case a woman from Lima, Peru, hence Suspiro de una Limeña.

"As sweet and delightful as a woman's sigh"
