“ Sometimes in order to move the mind forward we must shift its gears out of reverse .”
~ Curtis Tyrone Jones
Jeff Levin : And yet , while I ’ m a big fan of cost savings , time savings , and the ability to see more people in a day , I am a bigger fan of seeing our distribution partners and clients in 3-D vs . HD . Call me old school , but technology and the internet can ’ t replace the value of a face-to-face relationship .
Kim Wilcox : Our industry has to find ways to continue to leverage technology to bring life insurance to everyone , and to do so efficiently , effectively , and all while not being too intrusive . Our organization continues to look for ways we can leverage technology to help our field force be as productive as possible and keep the human connection .
Jury is still out
Blair Farwell : Each year , we see more and more e-apps . Obviously with COVID , clients are more open and in fact requesting virtual visits for sales and enrollment meetings . In my opinion , the jury is still out if the virtual visits will hurt the bond between the broker and the client . In time , we will discover if customer retention and loyalty remain the same with less and less in-person meetings . It will be important to watch how responsive clients will be down the road after they have their immediate need fulfilled as to whether they will be open to meet in the future .
Paul Garofoli : We all need to integrate technology into the business . It is one of the driving forces of the boon in merger and acquisition activity . So on the carrier end , that means providing the data feeds to populate a variety of platforms to
enhance the advisor and policyholder experience . Information , and the ability to provide it , continues to reign as king , and keep us all moving forward !
Scott Safranek : Managing data continues to drive business and create the best experience for our advisors as well as their clients and the carrier ’ s policyholders .
The internet changed the way business is done a long time ago and for those that have embraced it and harnessed its power have reaped many rewards . The biggest improvement , in my opinion , has been in the way of accelerated underwriting , electronic applications , electronic policy delivery and acceptance of electronic signatures - the pandemic exponentially sped up the adoption and development rate of all of them . I think the pandemic will continue to be the catalyst that increases the use of current technology as well as being a huge driver for the development of new technologies .
