Advancing the cause of financial security for all

The future of brokerage remains wide open and brokerage itself must evolve .
“ In September 1981 , the time was ripe and the seeds were planted to create NAILBA . We knew we were the wave of the future .
We had three main goals :
( 1 ) Get a bigger seat at the table when industry leaders gather .
( 2 ) Get a more powerful seat at the table when interacting with our carrier partners .
( 3 ) Become a more professional group of agencies to share ideas and laughs .
Fast forward , I am proud to say , NAILBA has earned a leadership position with the industry .”
H . Douglas Mooers , January 2006 .
Great acceleration

The future of brokerage remains wide open and brokerage itself must evolve . It continues to need a forum for differing opinions . It needs to further pursue its position in the industry , its aims and its intentions , in a more organized fashion . Professional development for case managers and leverage on in-force management is front and center for everyone . Since the start of 2020 , we ’ ve grown , learned and evolved in extraordinary circumstances . We ’ ve made great strides in a short amount of time .
Some describe 2020 and 2021 as years of “ great acceleration .” These two years demonstrated how tech-savvy our profession can be , given the rapid embrace of remote work solutions , and changing business models . We know that a continued tech focus will propel us into the future . Changes in underwriting , changes in product design , changes in how our products are sold , all have had an impact on the increase in life applications .
