The forum, “From Soil Analysis to Delivering More Profitable Fertilizers to Farmers,” was organized by the IFDC-implemented USAID Four- Country Cotton Partnership (USAID C4CP), USAID WAFP, and GLOBAL Climate-Smart Agriculture Project Propels Fertilizer Supply in West Africa Since 2012, the United States Agency for International Development West Africa Fertilizer Program (USAID WAFP) has increased the availability and use of affordable, quality fertilizer throughout West Africa. Ending in July 2017, project interventions focused on empowering the private sector, providing crop- and site-specific fertilizer recommendations, enabling adoption of fertilizer regulations, and stimulating fertilizer policy dialogue and advocacy. These efforts have empowered a region where quality fertilizer circulates more freely and efficiently.
