Alan Turing (whom you learn about inside) killed himself by eating a poison apple. Therefore, there were many people who believed that he inspired the Apple logo (which is an Apple with a bite). However, Steve Jobs (one of the founders of Apple) has said that he did not think of this- even though he admitted that he wished that he had. Still, many look at the Apple logo as a dedication to Turing- a man who revolutionized technology and helped the Allies throughout the war effort. He also wrote many papers on Artificial Intelligence, which are still very relevant today.
