After Andy excused himself , and a few cocktails later , Sierra , her family , and a few friends that flew in piled into her Jeep to head back to check on Andy . Once Sierra arrived home , it was clear that Andy was never under the weather to begin with . Little did she know , Andy had been orchestrating “ Operation Possible Cannot Fail .”
The path leading her to their front door was paved with yellow roses , dozens and dozens of roses , while through their open windows , the soft acoustic guitar sound of “ Marry Me ” by Train swelled as she approached .
Sierra entered her home , more petals under her feet , to find the entire space , ceiling , and walls strung with garden lights . Lanterns lead her through a large arbor adorned with more flowers . It was all so magical .
This time , it was crystal clear to Sierra what was happening as she looked back at her family , all of them filming this amazing event unfolding .
And there was Andy , down on one knee . Sierra then fell to hers . The moment they both have always dreamed of .
After Andy pleaded his case , Sierra said “ Yes !”
As they stood , a flood of loved ones rushed from the basement carrying flowers , food platters , and champagne . It wasn ’ t a surprise birthday party — it was a surprise engagement party !
That was four and a half years ago . And after some great additions ( puppy number two and a new home ) and one really bad setback ( the plague ), Sierra and Andy are ready to finally tie the knot in Stowe , Vermont , this September .
And one can only imagine how they will continue to share in their “ When Romantic Met Comedy ” Perrywinkle ’ s love story .
