The emergency was this : Afoli ’ s annual office Christmas party was being moved up two weeks and would now be held inside a posh postmodern art gallery . And worst of all , Afoli was to give the company toast . Afoli ’ s wardrobe was , in her words , “ woeful ” and simply not art-gallery caliber . And again in her words , “ The less said about my husband Gustavo ’ s fashion sense , the better .”
Gustavo is from the area , and for years , he had heard about how at Perrywinkle ’ s , everything is handmade by master jewelry artisans .

Afoli and Gustavo ’ s art gallery reinvention would require a top-tobottom overhaul . And the Perrywinkle ’ s team was at their service .
