Get perspective. Not just your own, but those of others as well.
When you change the way you look at things, you can start to
change how you react to them. Truly seeing what somebody else
is going through can help you empathize with them and stop an
eruption of anger.
Gain respect. You deserve it. No longer allow psychological
manipulation to control you. You make your own decisions.
So many of us want to be admired. Respected. Looked highly
upon. So, we try to be perfect. Look perfect. Act perfect.
We live a life that is not our own because of fear of failure. Fear
of what others think about us. Fear of what it may feel like to
be uncomfortable. Fear of being seen for who we truly are. And
OMG, what if people see the real us and don’t like us?
Stepping into the real you can be a scary place to be, but wouldn’t
you rather be LOVED for who you truly are than to be LIKED
for acting “perfect”?!
Living my whole life and not being truly KNOWN and hiding my
authentic self seems scarier than being uncomfortable and stepping
into the real me against all the fears.
We walk in fear of judgment. We create stories in our head that
then create inaccurate conclusions about what others think of us.
So, we stay comfortable. Hiding. Pretending. Acting.
People talk about “finding themselves,” but really, we aren’t lost.
We are just buried under layers of cultural conditioning and other
people’s opinions. STOP. Allow those layers to be peeled back and
shed them. The real you is right there. Stop hiding.
Return to the real you. Remember who you were before the world
got its hands on you.
This is what I know:
Family and friends have become more important to me now, more
than ever. No, not because I am nearing 40 and getting older, but
because I am realizing where my priorities lie. I have had enough
life experiences thus far to know that all that really matters in this
life is to LOVE PEOPLE. My daughters. My mom and stepdad.
My dad. My other family and friends. My work companions.
Life can be short and it flies by. We have experienced enough loss
in our lives to know that time is valuable. Every moment with each
of the people who are important to us matters. Stop allowing fear
of the unknown stop you from living a life you love!

PLEASE VOTE FOR PERRYSBURG SCHOOLS
ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2019
• Since 2008, our student population has grown by 21 percent
(976 students), which is more students than are currently served
by Perrysburg Junior High School.
• This levy would help the school district maintain its current
level of service to its rapidly growing student population.
• Because Perrysburg is a fast-growing school district, the number
of students counted in its state funding formula is “capped,”
which resulted in a loss of $3.5 million in funding this past
school year alone.
• State revenue has increased somewhat, but it does not keep pace
with our growth.
• If the levy were to fail on Tuesday, November 5, 2019,
Perrysburg schools would be required to implement $2.7 million
of midyear reductions, then an additional $5.9 million in
reductions prior to the 2020/2021 school year.
• Even if a levy were to pass in 2020, the school district would
not receive any additional funding until 2021—reductions would
still be required to take place.
• If the levy were to fail on November 5, Perrysburg schools
would not exist the way we know them today.
