SK: Nearly 750 million people lack access to clean water. That’s almost 2 1/2 times the United States population. The water crisis is the #1 global risk in the world. Kamen has been turning his attention to water for last 15 years. What is his ultimate goal?
PL: This is a question for Dean Kamen. I believe that his goal is to get clean water where it is needed starting with the people in the world that have the least access and the least money to fix it.
SK: You’ve known Dean for over 30 years. What did you learn from him and about him? What insider (inspired ?) you to pursue this project?
PL: I have worked with Kamen on many short documentary projects over the last 20 years. I have learned many things from being around him. He never gives up, he’s not afraid to fail and fail big, and he places great value on how he spends his time. When you’re with Dean Kamen, you are learning every minute of the day.
