Our November publication has been created by a wonderful gathering of people and the collection of empowering articles. My special thanks to Jean Palamar, our Director of Corporate Development, for her endless support, for her passion, and for her profound commitment in bringing people together for each publication. This month, we are featuring two amazing “Men with A Cause” and Water.Org, Co-founded by Matt Damon and Gary White. Water.org has positively transformed the lives of more than two million individuals living around the world by providing access to water and the dignity of a toilet. Their remarkable effort in many communities around the globe has brought not only dignity, but has also transformed women's lives. Instead of walking hours to get water, they now can work, provide for their families and look after their children.
Edward Burtynsky, our Artist, is also about water. His photography, his film ‘Watermark’, co-produced with Jennifer Baichwal, and his book, exposed us to spectacular water images and the symbiotic relationship between water and us. “How does water shape us? And how do we shape water?”
We are welcoming a new contributor to our team, Dr. Wallace J. Nichols, introducing the new field of ‘Neuroconservancy’, who also has a passion for ‘water’. Dr. Nichols specializes in the study of the emotional, behavioral, psychological and physical connections that keep humans so enchanted with water. Dr. Wallace "J." Nichols is a scientist, wild water advocate, movement-maker and a New York Times bestselling author. His new book “Blue Mind” is part of our pages and we are delighted to publish his first article titled: Ocean In A Box.
