our blue planet and our blue sky

We should celebrate our small blue planet and all it provides every day, but recent events give us particular cause to reflect on our home and how we are treating it.
Through an amazingly beautiful and perfect order, this spinning ball of earth, air, fire and water and its ideal distance from the sun provides perfect conditions for human life to flourish. However, with our rapidly increasing numbers, technological advances, extravagant and wasteful use of resources and lack of concern for where we dump our wastes, we are upsetting the balance of carbon cycle of the planet and our atmosphere.
The search for Malaysian Airline Flight 370 has also put in front of our eyes the massive amount of garbage that humans have been dumping into the oceans. We now have massive swirling garbage patches in our oceans, and thousands of birds and fish from remote seas turning up dead, their bellies full of plastic and waste.
There is no justification and no excuse to keep on destroying our home.
There are multiple ways to 'get involved' and it is our hope, my team and I, that you will be inspired to do so after reading the articles we publish each month, weither it is environmental, animal or humanitarians efforts.
Leilani Munter is our 'Woman With A Cause' this month and I am confident that you will be inspired by her personal involvements and commitments.
Spring is here! Let's celebrate our health, our life, our blue planet, now and each day.
