Jasmine Alexander’s chair in particular seems to take us into otherworldly dimensions in its structure and concepts, with its religious esque nature proffered by the bespoke one of a kind stained glass, in the arched window… but its imagery, when viewed closer reveals a trinity of mercantilism, with the HQ’s of global super banks, framed by solid oak reminiscent of a bishops mitre, its edge studded with diamonds, as its crown… but far from heralding the might of these ‘houses’; an engraved text inscribed on pure gold leaf, alludes to the foible of a soul whom counts treasure, stature and erotica as the delicacies of life, as the temples of existence, she says: “The concept behind the piece is very prevalent in its structure and artistry, the chair has become a language, a discourse... "
