Define Your Intriguing, Irresistible Story

Your story is the foundation of your platform. It must be a concise, intriguing, and irresistible story about you, your career, your business, or your future. For example, think about the brand TOMS. Whether it’s one of their commercials or the front of their website, they are going to tell you a story about someone who was helped because of the purchase you made. If you’re serious about defining your irresistible story, secure a few hours where you can dream this out in a creative space.

Then use these 4 guidelines to dig deep. Are the stories about your business unique, personal, why-oriented, or mission oriented?

Uniqueness:

What truly differentiates you, your business, your idea, or your mission from any other person or business? Think about other businesses in your space. What makes you special?

Personal Stories: Audiences love, connect with, and remember personal stories. What personal experiences in your life led you to where you are today? What is the personal story behind your business? How did you get started? What was the biggest obstacle or fear you overcame?
