Malachite personifies the deep healing green of nature and represents the innate beauty of
flowers, trees, roots and plants. In this painting, I blended the background with soft earthy
colours that reflect hues of sunset and sunrise to convey the passage of time, as these precious
stones develop layer by layer over millennia. Every corner of earth is pregnant with beautiful
gemstones waiting to be discovered and delivered to us by travelers, jewelers, collectors, and
geologists.
