Future Readiness
We believe...
...in providing a rigorous academic program and
student centered learning experiences.
...in inspiring creativity, problem solving, and
critical thinking.
...in empowering students to pursue their
strengths and passions.
The district’s comprehensive plan was developed in the 2017-18 school
year through several months of meetings involving various district
stakeholders. The plan includes a set of shared values - future readi-
ness, safe and supportive schools, and community partnerships.
Above is the statement related to the value of future readiness.
Throughout the 2018-19 school year, the district worked toward offer-
ing a variety of experiences for students to help prepare them for the
future. The photos on the next two pages show you some examples of
these experiences.
Schwenksville Elementary School
held its first Career Day for fourth-
and fifth-grade students in May 2019.
The event was a chance for students
to learn from presenters about ca-
reers including everything from a
statistician to a structural engineer
who climbs skyscrapers for a living.
They listened to presenters and were
expected to take notes, ask questions
and complete a reflection at the con-
clusion of the event.
The North Montco Technical
Career Center offers students
multiple opportunities to gain
hands-on experience in a num-
ber of different disciplines.
Each year, seniors exhibit a
final project to demonstrate
what they have learned.
