Introduction
To Our Community,
We are proud to present you with our annual report for the 2018-19 school
year, which we have titled “Developing Minds, Hearts and Helping Hands.”
We hope that you take some time to find out how our schools are empower-
ing students to learn, empathize, and serve others. The 2018-19 school year
was chock full of new initiatives and changes driven by the components of
our comprehensive plan. Over the next several pages, you will learn about
how we are upholding the shared values documented in this plan, which
include future readiness, safe and supportive schools, and community part-
nerships. Our work is ever-evolving and continuing, and it couldn’t be done
without strong support from community members like you. Thank you for
always taking an interest in our schools.
The Perkiomen Valley School District Board of Directors in the
2018-19 school year included Justine Myers, Beth Negro, Dr.
Wayde Weston, Dr. Gene Halus and Matthew Dorr (left to right
in the back row), and Dr. Reena Kolar, Judy Lofton, Sarah Ev-
ans-Brockett, and Beth Roberts (left to right in the front row).
