Staff Accomplishments
• Perkiomen Valley High School Boys Basketball Coach Mike Poysden cele-
brated his 100th career coaching victory in the 2018-19 season.
• Perkiomen Valley School District was designated as one of the Best Commu-
nities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation. The award is reserved
for districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide
music access and education to all students.
• Schwenksville Elementary School and South Elementary School were named
Title I Distinguished Schools in 2018. Title I Distinguished Schools are those
in the highest 5% of all Title I Schools for achievement and growth.
• Perkiomen Valley School District was named as Large Business of the Year in
the Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce’s PV Stars Gala.
• Patti Colucci, Perkiomen Valley High School Social Worker
and Career/Graduation Project Coordinator, was named as a
Finalist for the Citizen of the Year category in the Perkiomen
Valley Chamber of Commerce’s PV Stars Gala.
• Jason Costello, Perkiomen Valley High School social studies
teacher, Erin Gibbons, Special Education Supervisor, and
Cynthia Moss, Perkiomen Valley High School Lead Principal,
all attained their doctoral degrees.

• The Perkiomen Valley High School Robotics Team took home
the Rookie Inspiration award in a district-qualifying compe-
tition held at Springside/Chestnut Hill Academy and finished
the tournament as the highest rookie seed, qualifying as one
of only two rookie teams for the District Championships at
Lehigh University.
• The Perkiomen Valley High School Indoor Guard earned a
silver medal and a score of 95.86 at the Tournament Indoor
Association Atlantic Coast Championships held May 5-6 in
Wildwood, NJ.
• Perkiomen Valley High School senior Christina Warren won
the national crown in the triple jump at the New Balance
Nationals Outdoor Championship and won her third straight
Class AAA state title in the same event.
