MEMORIA JULIO DE 2017 Nave donde arribaron los monarcas ingleses. Recibimiento del presidente Remón. Elizabeth II in Panama In 1953, Elizabeth II of England, the queen of tales, arrived in Panama, the first country she visited in her reign. In 2008, the Queen Elizabeth II cruiser made its last voyage, passing through the Panama Canal. E lizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was born in London in 1926. She was the first-born of George, brother of Ed- ward VIII, who abdicated for love after a few months of reign, to marry a divorced woman. She, who was not in the direct line of succession for the throne, was crowned. Queen Elizabeth II of England has undoubtedly been the typical dream queen, a beautiful young woman with the most powerful crown in the world. In a direct way, it is the head of the Commonwealth, an organization composed of 52 independent and semi-independent sovereign countries which, with the exception of Mozambique and Rwanda, share historical ties with the United Kingdom. Its most important objective is political and economic cooperation. And, despite some ups and downs in her reign, she keeps the crown more stable and beloved by her subjects of Europe. She has been a very active queen, the most traveling and the longest, beating her mythical great-grandmother, Queen Victoria, the woman who caused -comparatively- more dead than the Second World War, but who is seen as a heroine, and not like Hitler, the villain of any story.
