GOOD MORNING GOD
Rabbi Avi Killip
Good morning God. How was your night? Your world was tossing and turning. Did it keep you up like a pulled muscle in your side? Or did you take a pill to numb the pain? Count us like sheep and practice your word shuffling technique, ensure the ordered world stays random enough to prevent those absent-minded miracles that come with late night divine problem solving. Did you feel us pulling the sheet in our direction, desperate to feel covered, sheltered, warm? Did it leave you cold? You know, you could have rolled over to us, could have pressed against our body and felt our heartbeat soften as our breath slows to match yours and even in our sleep we might have felt your presence, your care. Know God, that we are just over here, waiting.
