Of the 75,715 students in Indian schools, only 2,700 (3.6%) were identified as having a special educational need. This is a low percentage of students identified with special educational needs as compared to the 7.5% average taken from across 12 other international countries. 3.6% 2,700 Students with special educational needs Although no Indian schools were judged as having ‘Outstanding’ SEN provision, 39% had ‘Good’ provision but 17% of schools had ‘Unsatisfactory’ provision.
