We travelled to Prague from Como by taking the train to Bergamo, then catching WizAir for a short inexpensive flight. The other good option for inter- Europe cheap flights is EasyJet, just watch out for luggage weight restrictions and fees.
In our search for new luxury hotels we discovered The Mark. As it is only one block away from the Powder Tower, entrance to the Old Town, the location was super convenient. We arrived too early to check into the room but were delighted when management invited us to enjoy their breakfast buffet while we waited. The restaurant and lobby were spotless and staff was very friendly.

Built upon the original site of a former 14th century monastery, Mandarin Oriental, Prague is both a 5-star luxury hotel and a well-preserved piece of religious history. Glass floors in the Spa area display the remnants of the monastery that was uncovered during the hotel’ s construction. The monastery theme is carried throughout the hotel, especially in the Grand Ballroom and Monastery Lounge, a former monastery cloister with beautiful Baroque columns.
