Jørgen Platou Willumsen and Stian Korntved Ruud, Norway Both graduates from Oslo School of Architecture and Design, and founders of Kneip, a craft, design and art studio based in Oslo. Their objects handmade in small series each tell a story through a combination of a wide range of expressions and techniques that converge to a point where art, design and craft meet. The soft geometry of their creations is a lesson in style. Troels Flensted, Denmark A talented young man who has established his own studio in Copenhagen there he explores the different colour properties of materials and multiple manufacturing processes. Nature and craftsmanship are important sources of inspiration. He explores the potential of a global “green” economy, creating products that are both functional and environmentally friendly, in simplicity and sincerity approach. Many of his creations are present in the Danish permanent collections at Designmuseum Danmark and Trapholt Museum. Weathered by Kneip Sruli Recht, Iceland 2015 marked a milestone in the life of this unusual Icelandic designer: who has had the opportunity to work with work with Alexander McQueen. His work spans from fashion design, industrial design, costume design and fine art made from materials as concrete, leather, horse skin, diamonds and whale skin in a radical style.
