Pop Art Penthouse
Hip hop producer, rapper, designer, and
judge on The Voice Pharrell Williams, has
relisted his 9,080-square foot penthouse
apartment in Miami’s business district, Brickell for $10.99 million. Williams purchased the
three-story, property for $12.525 million in
2007, and first attempted to sell it for $16.8
million in November 201, but after reducing
the price twice, first to $13.99 million and
then to $10.9 million, he removed the listing.
Built in 1993, the Pop Art–influenced circular
penthouse located on the 40th floor has 30f oot ceilings and 360-degree city and ocean
views, topped off by a translucent dome.
Williams capitalizes on this somewhat trippy
layout to display his extensive collection of
Pop Art, which includes pieces by Takashi
Murakami, Keith Haring, and Andy Warhol,
plus an assortment of Louis Vuitton luggage
and giant Japanese dolls.
Pharrell once described life in the penthouse
like living in a “...fishbowl with a limo tint.”
This penthouse also comes with an additional 465m2 of external space that includes
a swimming pool and landscaped terrace
and an outdoor kitchen and parking for
six cars.
