A LEAP TOWARD THE END...

The eighth of July in 1822, less than a month before his 30th birthday, Shelley died while sailing back from Leghorn (Livorno) in a sudden storm. He was cremated and his ashes are placed in the Protestant Cemetery in Rome, where Keats (another Romantic poet) was also buried.

There are different theories explaining his death although nobody knows the correct one.

A. His death was not accidental, so somebody killed him.

B. He was depressed in those days and he wanted to commit suicide.

C. He did not know how to navigate.

D. There are belives about some pirates that mistook him for Byron's boat and attacked him.

E. Fantastical stories that became into legends.
