I believe professional credibility and respect for the
client are two essential qualities of a Consultant. While
the Consultant is expected to bring specialised skills that
the client does not have, it is the client who has nurtured
the business and has real skin in the game.
My favourite caption that describes me: The Practical Idealist
I start my Monday with: A key message for my team
I end my working week with: An article or blog on what I have learnt during the week
My Biggest inspiration: The people I work with & the people who create great workplaces
My greatest fear in life: I will not be around long enough to do all that is possible
Advice to people reading this: Invest in others and multiply your impact
value chain, much like the 4 million people
in the IT industry.
In other words, India had to be a nursery
for talent. Globally, there are innumerable
examples that show that cities and countries
that attract and nurture talent become
economic powerhouses.

What advice would you like to give to
upcoming HR Consultants?
This led us to our vision – “Make
India a Great Place to Work”.
Do you think the demand for
certifi cations has evolved over the years?
I think both demand and supply have
evolved. The need for Credibility in a 24x7
social media environment is now felt more
than ever. It is in this context that a Gold
Standard certifi cation has a strong demand.
I would say that clients will respect
you for holding the mirror and saying
what an employee fi nds diffi cult to
say. Try not to lose your professional
freedom.
What does your HR & Leadership
Team do differently to make your
organisation a Great Place to Work?
We understand that you were an
Internal HR Consultant and have
long standing experience of working
with Senior Leadership at various
organisations as well. What is the most
important aspect you think a Consultant
must have in order to succeed?
We are trying to learn from the Best
Workplaces. One lesson we are trying to
apply is to only hire those people whose
lives can change for the better by joining
our organisation; so that they, in turn, will
make the lives of our customers better.
