SR: Tony, are we all visual learners?
TB: Everybody is. Even the blind see in many different
ways. I want you to think about the time when you were
in school. Did you like doing homework and lines in
one colour with no pictures?
SR: Not at all!
TB: Yes. And what words would you use to describe
that kind of homework?
SR: Dull and boring, I would say.
TB: Did you like extra homework if you ever got some?
TB: Ok, open your eyes and, tell me what your brain
SR: Never!
gave you. TB: Why?
SR: A creature with four legs and, Grey fur. SR: Maybe, that i had to come out of my comfort zone
to do that, the extra homework, and to accomplish
that, i had to curtailed my playing time or sacrifi ce
my TV time.
TB: (laughs) Great! You got it in just one go. And where
was the Grey fur?
SR: It was on an animal, of course.
TB: And was it in any particular environment?
SR: It was set against a green background of a tree.
TB: Ok, great. So, for the fi rst time in your life, you
know, what your language is. Why don’t we explore
it together? How long did it take your brain to access
TB: I also felt the same when I was a kid. I will
paraphrase it as “imprisoned” It was the same with
me. I never wanted to study extra or to do any extra
homework.
And, you’ve hit the two main words boring and dull.
What does the brain do when things are boring and
dull?
that piece of information which you imagined.
SR: Maybe, a few seconds.
TB: You got it in less than a second, because you
immediately responded. Your brain very quickly
gave you images and the key connections. It didn’t
give you dictionary printouts of M-o-n-k-e-y, but just
the image, color and connection. And Ahoy! We just
discovered the human language!
SR: Finally!
TB: It is always the same with men, women, kids or
whoever you are. We connect a form through image,
color and association.
SR: I think, it switches off !
TB: It switches off. Yes, the human language is image,
colour and connection.
