rtifi cial Intelligence (AI) is stepping
into every sector and industry. In the
HR industry, ‘To AI or not to AI’ is still
a big question. Let’s talk about data. According
to IBM’s 2017 survey, “Extending expertise:
How cognitive computing is transforming HR
and the employee experience,” a signifi cant
percentage of CEOs believe co gnitive
computing can drive signifi cant value in HR.
HR Managers and Executives also opined that
they recognize that cognitive computing has
the power to transform key dimensions and
will affect key roles in the HR organization.
To effectively manage a company workforce,
one of HR’s primary roles is to ‘Communicate’,

yet communication throughout the workplace
is a huge challenge for an HR. In an effort to
drive effective employee effi ciencies, employee
happiness, reduce costs, and deliver better
client or employee experiences, organizations
are adapting Artificial Intelligence and
Machine Learning (ML) as core elements of
their digital transformation strategy. Will AI
technology put HR managers and staff out of
work? Of course not. AI technology is not here
to make the HR departments redundant but to
assist and transform them for good.
One of the most prominent benefits of
using technology in HR is by weaving AI
into an employee’s on-boarding program.
