Hello and welcome to the 18 edition of Pensador! We’ re thrilled that you’ re taking the time to read through our magazine and we’ re pleased to say that you’ re in for a treat when it comes to delving into this year’ s edition.
As Editors-in-Chief, we first wanted to say a massive thank you( gracias, gràcies, obrigado) to everyone who has been involved in the creation of Pensador: the section editors, the design team, the social media managers, and the launch party organisers. None of this would have been possible without you. It’ s been an arduous process but with the help of everyone around us we’ ve produced something each and every one of you should be proud of.
We’ re also incredibly grateful for the help of our favourite andaluza, Pilar Garcia Zaldoundo, who doesn’ t even require seven more Basque surnames to be a star herself! Without her help( and nagging of the department for more money) this year’ s edition of Pensador wouldn’ t have existed.
We wanted this year’ s magazine to endorse as much creative freedom as possible, allowing students to explore the themes that interest them within the broad realm of Hispanic and Lusophone cultures. This permission to explore and write about whatever interested our contributors most has left us with a depth of articles covering a wide range of topics. From the electronic music scene in Chile to the trials and tribulations of completing the Camino de Santiago, there really is something for everyone in this year’ s edition.
It has been a true pleasure for us to produce this magazine, and we sincerely hope you enjoy reading it as much as we did creating it.
