Yarn bombing is an art not a crime. I believe that as long as the creations don’t damage public property it’s no crime.

Most of the yarn-bombers didn’t do anything that harmed public property. In fact they used the yarn to create a message about important issues like global warming.

Unlike graffiti which is in most cases relatively permanent, these can easily be removed and don’t affect the object it was attached to at all. Yarn bombing also adds color to a dull or average place and can brighten boring scenery. Yarn bombing brings joy and happiness and overall is a nice form of artwork.
