Alumni News Timothy Smith (1996–2001) recently visited campus in his role of helping corporate families relocating to The Bahamas to find the right school and perfect home. We also congratulate him on being named top rookie producer at Better Homes and Gardens MCR Group Real Estate. @realtimsmith It was a pleasure to welcome Vivien Brown (née Carrera-Justiz) (1975-1980) to the school campus. She visited with her husband and had a great time looking through the old yearbooks and seeing the changes to campus. Congratulations to alum Melissa Alcena (1992–2002) on her involvement in ‘Diversions,’ an exhibition of photography at the D’Aguilar Foundation that explored the spaces outside the demands of daily life in The Bahamas. Our current LCIS students visited the exhibition and said it was incredible! @melalcena Our graduates keep it in the family with Devanney Dean (Class of 2011) coming to support her sister Erynn at the Class of 2017 graduation ceremony. We enjoy seeing our former students getting involved in education and Indira Vidales (Class of 2007) is now an English Teacher in Peru. @EnglishTeacherMrs. It is great seeing our graduates keep in touch in places around the world. We are proud to announce that both Samantha Wilson (Class of 2013) and Basia Armstrong (Class of 2013) graduated from the London School of Economics, Department of Government. Basia completed an MSc in Comparative Politics and Samantha an MSc in Global Politics. Eronjha McIntosh (Class of 2009) was nominated for Millenial of the Year at the Excellence Awards hosted by the Bahamas Financial Services Board that honours many of its leading professionals each year. 24 Davina Adderley (Class of 2014) continues to excel at the University of Richmond after receiving the Westhampton College Distinguished Leaders Award. New Additions Congratulations to the Happy Families Emily Lupu (Class of 2012) continues to follow her passion for creativity after joining The Gilbert Group, Public Relations as an Account Executive. Marissa Taylor (Class of 2012) and Gerrick Farquharson (Class of 2013) have come back after their studies at universities in Costa Rica and Florida Institute of Technology respectively. They have both joined SMG Construction and Millwork, which will help them give back to the growing nation of The Bahamas. SMG is a high-end, custom design architectural and construction company founded by Darren and Alannah Ginns. Alannah is also an alumnus from LCIS (1966-1973). James Wiberg (1976-1980), and his wife Lynette on the birth of their baby Alexander Magnus, a brother to Elizabeth and Anders William. Brandon Sims (Class of 2008) and his partner Tierra Richardson on the birth of their baby boy, Kal-El. Erin Bethell Jones (1986– 1994) and her husband Travis on the birth of their baby boy, Grayson. Kathryn Attrill (1979- 1986) and her husband on the new addition to their family. Celine Lotmore (1979-1986) and her husband, Kyle Jones, on the birth of their baby boy Avery, little brother to Sadie. 25
