by the natural environment of The Bahamas:
the essence of water and the texture of

In the end, the clothes were just as I wanted

in my head.
I REALLY ENJOY THE ARTISTIC PART OF FASHION
DESIGN. I LIKE THE IDEA OF MAKING UTILITARIAN
ART, WEARABLE ART. FASHION IS OFTEN
ASSOCIATED WITH SUPERFICIALITY, BUT I THINK
IT IS FUN TO CREATE ART THAT PEOPLE BOTH LIKE
AND USE.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to be a fashion designer and to work
with a textile designer to create original
textiles. Textile design is its own specialty and
few fashion designers regularly design their
own textiles.
Please share a memory of LCIS.
I miss the family feeling of the small school.
I was really close to my classmates and we
all helped each other. That doesn’t happen
in design school. People are much more
competitive. I miss that camaraderie.
