We are proud of Morgan Bower ( Class of 2018 ), and many other alumni around the world , for assisting with relief efforts for the islands of The Bahamas devastated by Hurricane Dorian . Morgan reached out to several Eckerd College campus organisations and Eckerd alumni from The Bahamas to start a relief drive for much-needed items for the people affected by Hurricane Dorian . As a result of her efforts , she was later selected to be a 2020 Eastman Leader , part of a small group of women inducted into the Donald and Christine Eastman Leadership Programme .
# FootballStrong ! The Bahamas National Football Team featured alumni Cameron Hepple ( 1992- 94 ), Ambry Moss ( 2001-07 ) and Happy Hall ( 1997-99 ), as well as current Grade 12 student Nicolas Lopez , as they look to qualify for the CONCACAF Gold Cup .

Zearier-Elaine Munroe ( Class of 2008 ) is currently serving as Community Outreach Officer at the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas ( NAGB ). She joined the NAGB in July 2019 and is exploring the ways in which museums and the visual arts can engage the wider community in vital social conversations and individually expansive experiences .
Congratulations to Meaghan Holowesko ( Class of 2007 ) who debuted a photography exhibition in December , entitled “ PRESENCE .” Meaghan is a medium-format , analogue photographer . Her love of romanticism and classic cinema lends to her careful portrayals of a graphic and timeless feeling .
