First Stop: Downtown

I've taken a few photographs since I've landed in Cincinnati, but I haven't done a full blown photo shoot in the Downtown area until this past week. I haven't made it to the park there yet, but I've gotten enough of the area to be able to build a folder of the area as a whole.

Starting off with photos of the area has also opened up doors to talk to others about what I do. Some were genuinely interested. Even just getting shots in a park near my home has caught others attention. I've even come out of my shell even more and just started conversation with people that lead to talking about how we could possibly work together.

Three Down, Many to Go

I've been able to get photo shoots done at two parks and the general downtown area. Though I'm proud of that accomplishment, it's time to move on to other places as well. Next stop is to go to two places that have live band performances and capture as many great pictures as possible. After each band performs, push myself to be confident enough to talk to them about who I am, what I do, my website, etc. Not only will I be able to gain even more experience in capturing bands/performances in action, but it'll allow my business to gain more exposure regardless if we do business in the future or not. They may even pass me along to someone who is in need of a local photographer for a show they're having that night. It'll also be a great opportunity to promote the online retail store my partner and I began this month along with his nonprofit he's been running for a few years.

I'm looking forward to the many possibilities and great things that are to come. I'm aware there are more hurdles I'll have to get over, but I'm willing to do so. I might get slowed down, but I'll never stop moving.
