Teknomek, one of the UK’ s leading manufacturers and suppliers of hygienic furniture and equipment, has appointed experienced laboratory manager Ricky Williams as head of sector sales.
Ricky has spent more than eight years working at a senior role at two of London’ s leading life science hubs. From designing laboratory layouts and specifying equipment, to cleaning protocols and earlystage planning and positioning of gasses, pipelines and HVAC systems, he has an in-depth knowledge of the practical and statutory requirements of working labs and cleanrooms.
“ A significant element of my previous two roles was working closely with scientists and lab technicians to establish efficient and hygienic operational processes,” Ricky explains.“ At innovation hubs, start-up businesses are often sharing research and laboratory space. As well as being intelligently designed and perfect for purpose, it’ s vital that equipment and furniture is flexible and modular so that workspaces can be reconfigured to suit different project requirements.

Alongside its stainless-steel furniture, which is ideal for cleanrooms, Teknomek has recently launched a new laboratory furniture range with white powder coated frames.
