VALVES & FLOW CONTROL
Swivel joint specialists
Rotaflow provide solutions that enable different fluids ( including oils , fuels , corrosives , food ) and / or air / steam to be transferred through awkward , and often , already established production infrastructure . With 40 years of experience , we have designed and manufactured swivels to withstand and perform effectively when faced with many tricky environmental factors : Overcoming issues with heat , pressure , size and material choice .
Swivel joints will allow the movement on a slowly rotating drum or remove the damaging effect of twisting on hoses .
A high proportion of our swivel joints are used on reeler applications . These are over a wide range of specifications , from single flow systems to multiple flows with or without facilities to incorporate an electrical slip ring .
To date Rotaflow swivel joints have been used in a wide range of reeler applications from umbilicals needing to reach to the depths of the sea , to controlling water for cooling a nuclear power station to supplying hot water to drill through ice in Greenland . Whatever your swivel joint requirements , send us your application details and we will endeavour to design a solution for you .

The new GEMÜ modular M-block diaphragm valve giving flexibility in design and project execution
Introducing the GEMÜ P600S , a new modular M-block diaphragm valve with flexible connection system in the nominal size DN 20 and DN 25 . Made from stainless steel the GEMÜ P600S compromises of one or more diaphragm valve seats . The individual modules can be combined together in any order to provide flexibility and shorter lead times by standardisation of common components . For use in aseptic applications with a sterilisation temperature max of 150 ° C , the block provides a multi-functional solution for blending , diverting , draining and the preparation of media in the pharmaceutical , biotechnology and the food industry . The design is flexible and low maintenance , saving your time and money on the installation and welding work . Being modular also means that the compact design can be extended as required simply by installing multiple blocks together , future proofing your plant in event of change or growth .

Specialist equipment solutions
Obsolescence issues beat on the door of any organisation that operates complex engineering equipment . Specialist equipment manufacturers such as Drallim already seek to ensure that their products provide a very long life , but this is now being driven even harder by end users aiming for greater sustainability and “ green ” credentials . In truth it just makes great economic sense to the user and creates real customer loyalty , while minimising global resource consumption . Drallim has been committed to longevity of its products throughout their 60 + years of trading . Indeed , examples of their Rotary Selector Valves , Compressor Desiccators and Cargo Hooks are regularly returned for service and repair with some having seen over 40 years continuous service . Obsolescence issues are inevitable over this sort of period , but careful management and planning have allowed them to provide these very long product support periods . Electronic equipment provides the most significant challenges and even over relatively short periods of just a few years component availability can dry up suddenly , as has happened for many users during the Covid crisis . Establishing long term support contracts with key customers allows planning ahead to mitigate problems arising by using smart procurement techniques , stocking of components and or redesign exercises . Increasingly Drallim Industries are seeing demand from new customers for obsolescence review and reverse engineering services to produce vital spare parts with a failed supply chain . Projects have included special manufacture of obsolete metals , redesign , and qualification of electronic assemblies through to reconstruction of specialist fabric assemblies and redesign of cast or forged components for low volume supply .
