Following development in 1947 , Parylene coating was commercialized for its ability to form a complete , pinhole-free , polymer protective layer on most substrates and materials .
Delivered by Vacuum Deposition at room temperature , Parylene conformal coatings exhibit a number of useful properties . The Viking Series
Paratronix has applied all the lessons of the past to design an industry leading array of coating systems and support , to enable our customers to operate on several continents across the globe .
The Viking Series of semi-automated coaters can process in either vertical or static mode for larger circuit boards or components , or in tumble mode , suitable for small O-rings or magnetic cores requiring 360 degrees of coverage .
The touch screen controls provide access to and recording of all pertinent process parameters . All systems are supported by a staff of qualified engineers . Paratronix offers a host of readily available spare parts for the end-user ’ s customization .
Embracing New Technologies
As technology drives smaller , faster , and more capable devices , Paratronix meets these challenges by developing and integrating new coating technologies . Recently , Paratronix introduced the SignalSeal Coating Technology . This conformal coating enables high speed digital , RF and Microwave communications devices to remain protected in many of the ways Parylene does , without the adverse effects of signal degradation for circuits operating up to 100 GHz . This is accomplished by providing a low dissipation factor coating , suitable for these frequencies of operation .
The Valkyrie Series
The coating systems for SignalSeal operate in a similar way to our Parylene systems . The CVD coating is applied at near room temperatures with touch screen controls and automated functions .
Paratronix meets and exceeds strict compliances , quality standards and certifications . For coating services , we have ISO : 9001 , ITAR , REACH , RoHS , IPC-CC 830 / MIL-I-46058 , ANSI / ESD S20.20 and USP Class VI . ISO 13845 certification is soon to be added . For coating systems , we have TUV , CE and UL 508A Listed for US ( UL ) and Canada ( CUL ).
