Investment sets UK manufacturer on course for global growth
Amazon Filters , which makes filters and housings for process industries across the world , has taken on new premises and equipment to boost production capacity .
Manufacturing and delivery capability are being strengthened from this autumn with a 7,000 sq ft warehouse and office alongside the company ’ s main production facility .
The move gives the 37-year-old firm seven industrial units in a row at the Albany Park industrial estate in Camberley , Surrey .
Taking on more space is the latest stage in a substantial investment programme that has already driven innovations in production line activities including welding and the automation of cartridge pleating and assembly .
A powered lifting platform was installed in 2021 to help with the welding of larger filtration housings .
Providing a 1,000kg load capacity , the adjustable , motorised platform complements kit used for auto seam welding , planishing and manipulating of plate-rolled tubes .
Welding processes have also been improved thanks to a large weld bay for making mobile skid assemblies .
A new metalworking hub features a component shop with CNC machining and cutting cells , a press cell and a sheet metal shop .
And despatch and delivery operations have been strengthened with the addition of a mezzanine platform for storage and stock control .
