The new Bottom Up Glass Inspection System for glass tempering plants - Temperature monitoring and quality control
The new Bottom Up GIS 640i G7 and GIS 450i G7 are complete inspection and monitoring systems dedicated for glass tempering processes . With two PI G7 imagers measuring the temperature from underneath on the always non-coated high emissivity side of the glass it is independent of any Low-E coatings .
The innovative digitally controlled lens protection system ( DCLP ) makes air purging needless and , in combination with the ultra-fast CTlaser 4ML with 90 µ s exposure time , it acts as a reliable safeguard for both imager optics in case of glass breakage . Optris supplies the Bottom Up Glass Inspection System in two versions : the High resolution GIS 640i G7 and the High performance GIS 450i G7 . Both systems are pre-assembled and pre-wired for easy installation on glass tempering lines . In addition to the infrared cameras , pyrometer and the shutter systems , the delivery also includes a compact control cabinet with all electronic and control components as well as all necessary cables in 10m length .
Especially the user-friendly scan line adjustment in the software is a huge advantage compared to the old-fashioned mechanical adjustment of bulky and heavy line scanners on top of a furnace . Even more advanced , the user can run the automatic line adjustment ( ALA ) – an algorithm which optimizes the scan line position for a best fit between two rollers . With this feature even small position changes of the imagers are corrected automatically .
