ultraFLOW
ultraFLOW quick couplings are the ideal choice for liquid cooling of electronics . It has an extremely low pressure drop that will help to increase the overall energy efficiency .
ultraFLOW offers all the properties that are important for liquid cooling of electronics : compact outer dimensions , flat-face design with no spill on connection or disconnection , high flow capacity and low pressure drop .
It is available in hard-anodized aluminium and now also in stainless steel . The stainless-steel version has the same great characteristics but is more suitable for deionized water and other aggressive fluids . Stainless steel also makes it more suitable for use in corrosive environments .

New lightweight filling material with high damping properties
Numerous machines are impaired in their performance by vibrations . To counteract this , the German durcrete GmbH has developed the lightweight and highly damping filler material durcrete ® cell .
durcrete ® cell is a mineral filler to reduce vibrations in metallic structures . Damping is increased by over 300 % and vibration amplitudes are reliably reduced . The damping material eliminates harmonics caused by sheet metal vibrations and reduces noise radiation . With its balanced weight-to-rigidity ratio , the lightweight material is ideal for moving components and for filling hollow steel and aluminum sections . While natural frequencies are changed only minimally , guiding rails and motors can be designed economically and the machine retains its dynamics . The material is optimally used as a filling material in machine tools , in automatic placement machines and in measuring technology .

New Quantum Cascade Lasers from 10 µ m to 17 µ m for Monitoring BTX , CH3I and HCN
FLC offers innovative off-the-shelf Industrial Quantum Cascade Lasers ( QCL ) and QCLbased spectrometer modules for Industrial & Defence applications . For the first time , single frequency DFB lasers , based on an InAs-technology , commercially available in the wavelength range from 10-17 µ m and output power of 5 - 10mW . They open the way for high resolution spectroscopy applications to detect and monitor substances as the aromatics Benzene (~ 14.9 µ m ), Toluene (~ 16 µ m ) and Xylene Propane (~ 14 µ m ) as well as Methyl Iodide ( CH3I ) (~ 11.3 µ m ) and Hydrogen Cyanide ( HCN ) (~ 15.9 µ m ). Detection and monitoring of the substances is most important in the Oil & Gas , Chemical and Nuclear Industry . An early detection of the radioactive CH3I in a nuclear power plant for can reduce the risk of a serious accident , preventing a shut-down of the plant and might save many lives .
