Quantum ’ s Hire Fleet creates improved process , reliability and efficiency at Sugar Facility
Its peak season for processing sugar beet and we received a request from a Sugar Company to help create a new system that improves the cleaning pump process and more importantly , the reliability . This new system had to be super silent , efficient and be able to withstand weather conditions of the outdoor site environment .
We partnered with a Pump Supply Company to give the best solution to our customer , a new pump system , a 22kW Hire Variable Speed Drive and Generator ( both from Quantum Controls extensive hire fleet ) were supplied to the customer . This gave the system extra flexibility with variable speed control and pump reliability .

Due to the location and such harsh operating conditions , our Unique Weatherproof Variable Speed Drives were the only VSDs on the market for this application . Because this was initially a trial to test the new system , a super silent and efficient generator was also supplied , this was to save on mains modifications in the timescale allowed .
The new system was trialled and proved a success , the units will stay on hire for a further 12 weeks while a new permanent system is installed .
