HEALTH & SAFETY GRAPHITE RUPTURE DISC GRX REMBE The first pure graphite rupture disc with FDA conformity This rupture disc has been developed for processes with corrosive media, low pressure and temperatures of between -180 °C and +500 °C under oxidizing and reducing atmosphere, +1,500 °C under inert conditions. The GRX is applicable for highest temperatures by using a unique chemical vapour deposition method (PyC coating). By this PyC coating, the rupture disc holds significantly longer at very high temperatures, while remaining permanently leak-tight in comparison to other coatings and impregnations. For example: Rupture discs with a coating made of synthetic resin would no longer be able to offer this leak-tightness at temperatures far above 200 °C. With a maximum working pressure of 80 % of the minimum burst pressure, the GRX is usable for rupture pressures from 20 mbar g. Nominal pipe size is available from 1/2” to 24”. Optionally, a vacuum support can be integrated, which is installed without adhesive components that would meld at very high temperatures. The GRX is also available with a burst indicator, upon request. The signaling device will inform you about the rupture disc response. The installation occurs directly between the flanges. Some facts about GRX • Highest temperature resistance (applicable from -180 °C up to +500 °C) The GRX is applicable for highest temperatures by using a unique chemical vapour deposition method. • Maximum leak-tightness due to an innovative coating • Extra long service life • Highest corrosion resistance and can therefore also be used with very aggressive process media • Also available in vacuum-resistant design • Special application coped by the new coating technology: liquid sodium process at 490°C ABOUT REMBE - THE REMBE ALLIANCE INTRODUCES ITSELF REMBE is mostly associated with REMBE GmbH Safety and Control - the specialists for explosion safety and pressure relief worldwide.
