Due to the fees involved
in erecting scaffolding
and covers to protect the
pipebridge during its repair, a
cost-effective, easy-to-apply
solution was required. CPC
Civils selected the Steelcoat
100/400 system for the
protection of 40 metres of
680 mm diameter pipe and
16 flanged joints, with Frazer
Civils of Wednesbury supplying
the material for the project.
The entire area to be
protected was wire brushed
to remove loose pieces of the
old coating before the new
Steelcoat system was applied.
Winn & Coales provided
on-site training and returned
to site twice to check on the
projects progress, with three
operatives completing the
entire application in just one
week.
