Accurate Laser Cutting (SJS) Ltd of Rotherham,
has made a significant investment in new
equipment, to enable then to offer the very best
service and quality to their clients.
A total investment of £1.2 million will be made
on two new pieces of equipment and supporting
software. The equipment will comprise of a
brand-new laser cutting machine and a press-
brake, the very latest technology and spec in the
region.
The laser cutter will be a powerful 12kW model,
on a 4m x 2m bed. with a 320 ton, 4.1m press-
brake to match. Both machines will be operated
in conjunction with cutting edge, top level 3D
and bending software and will be installed and
fully operational by January 2020.
This is another great example of the company’s
commitment to continued investment in the very
latest technology to provide their customers with
the very best products and service.

ISO 17025 Calibration Services
Accredited calibrations for pressure, electrical,
flow and air velocity instruments via UKAS
Laboratory 0604, offering reliable, quick
turnaround and affordable sensor calibration
for process & control instruments. Many of the
calibrations are also available as onsite services,
both traceable and ISO 17025 accredited.
Bespoke services are available for thermal
uniformity surveys of for ovens, freezers and
autoclaves.
Further extensions to our UKAS accreditation
schedule are in process to extend our scope of
calibration services soon. The accredited flow
rigs and wind tunnels continue to offer world
leading measurement uncertainty for UKAS air
velocity calibrations on pitot, thermal, vane, cup,
omni-spherical and ultrasonic anemometers

HOFFMANN GROUP UK MAKES
KEY STRATEGIC HIRE TO
SUPPORT UK LAUNCH
Hoffmann Group UK, Europe’s leading system
partner for quality tools, workstations and
personal protective equipment (PPE), has
boosted its business development division as
part of its strategic UK rollout.
With over 20 years’ experience in the
manufacturing industry, Peter Borrowdale
joins the team as a national key account
manager. Having held a variety of senior
roles at businesses such as Cromwell Group,
Replicade and Perspex Distribution, Peter
brings with him a wealth of sector expertise
in both manufacturing and key industry
verticals such as aerospace.
In his new role, Peter will be responsible for
retaining and developing Hoffmann Group’s
international customer portfolio. This will
involve working closely with both new
customers and those that have long-standing
relationships with the Hoffmann Group, as
well as preparing business plans for tender
opportunties and nurturing key customer
relationships. Longer term, Peter will also
assist in developing an overarching customer
acquisition plan in order to help grow the
fledgling UK arm of the business.
As part of the Hoffmann Group’s heavy
investment in the UK, Hoffmann Group UK
was launched as a fully-owned subsidiary
of the wider business earlier this year in
Birmingham., The business is set to grow
rapidly in the coming months, having also
recently expanded its specialist teams across
PPE, cutting tools and strategic product
categories.
Commenting on his appointment, Peter
