Nowadays, it is a common industrial standard for flameless explosion venting devices that in closed rooms neither flames, nor pressure or dust can exit the respective unit. The dangerous effects of explosions need to be reduced to a minimum and harmless level; the noise of the explosion shall be minimised to an acceptable level. Ideally, production downtimes can be avoided or significantly reduced.
