FLUID HANDLING ROTAFLOW THANK ALL INVOLVED IN SAVING WHALEY BRIDGE Fluid Carrying Rotaflow is based in the Derbyshire town of Whaley Bridge. The town was evacuated by emergency services due to the Toddbrook Reservoir overflowing, which caused significant structural damage to the retaining wall of the dam. A combined effort between the Police, Fire crews, Mountain Rescue, Canal & Rivers Trust, the Environment Agency, the Army and the RAF ensured the area was safely evacuated and the public were well informed. Local companies supplied aggregate and built makeshift roads providing access to the dam. Residents filled sandbags and local groups provided survival equipment and cooking facilities.
