PRODUCT NEWS SIGNIFICANT SAVINGS MBA ENGINEERING PC FABRICATIONS SAVES UP TO £20K PER YEAR FOLLOWING NITROGEN GENERATION SYSTEM INVESTMENT Steel and aluminium fabricators, PC Fabrications, has experienced significant savings after investing in a Noblegen nitrogen generation system. Provided and installed by supplier of leading laser cutting and metal fabrication equipment, MBA Engineering, the Noblegen Nitrogen generation system has been installed in PC Fabrication’s Leeds- based factory to produce nitrogen for the company’s laser cutting machine. Having previously bought nitrogen in bulk pack form, PC Fabrications can now produce its own in-house, eliminating the expenses and CO2 emissions associated with regular deliveries of the gas. The systems are set to run as required, so no nitrogen is wasted, and there’s no need to stop production completely to replace gas cylinders – another process which costs valuable time and money.  PC Fabrications has received continued support following the purchase of its laser machine from MBA 2 years ago, and the same applies to its most recent purchase with MBA Engineering on hand to assist with any servicing and maintenance needs. “The investment really speaks for itself,” said Paul Close, managing director at PC Fabrications. “The monthly savings mean PC Fabrications will have paid off the cost of the nitrogen generation system in less than three years. Instead of outsourcing our gas, we can produce it on site, creating valuable floor space as the generation system takes up less space than storing cannisters. Knowing the MBA Engineering team is on hand 24/7 offering servicing support is incredibly reassuring when downtime can be so costly to a manufacturer.” MBA Engineering exclusively partnered with Noblegen last year to save laser users up to £1,000 per month on gas costs. Bradley McBain, Managing Director of MBA Engineering said: “One of our key aims is to provide valuable cost savings to our customers and help reduce their 178 PECM Issue 38 overheads. Combining the British-made nitrogen generation system with a laser cutting system creates a sustainable, cost- effective laser cutting solution.   “As well as providing the equipment, we will also manage the installation and provide complete support once the equipment is in-situ.” MBA Engineering Established in 2009, MBA Engineering is the exclusive distributor of Kimla fibre laser cutting equipment in the UK.
